The president's Advisory Committee for Planning State Affairs held its first collaborative meeting with government ministries.
The 2-hour event on Tuesday focused on the implementation of the Moon administration's job creation plan.
It was chaired by Kim Jin-pyo..., the head of the de facto transition team,...and attended by officials from the Finance Ministry, Ministry of Personnel Management, Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, Ministry of Employment and Labor, as well as the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Attendees discussed ways to hire 12-thousand new public officials before the year is up.
The government plans to recruit a combined of 120-thousand fire fighters, police officers, and social workers in the next five years.
