Steam Link allows you to
Steam Link allows you to stream the games you in your Steam library directly from your computer to your Meta Quest headset. These tips can help you get your microphone working on Quest 2, Quest 3 or Quest Pro.
Quick and Dirty
Even if the mic isn't muted, go ahead and mute it, then unmute it. This might kickstart the audio driver to cooperate. Thanks to @PavelPirogov for this possible fix.
Windows 11
If you're not seeing the "Steam Streaming Microphone" on Windows, go to Device Manager, "Sound, Video and game controllers", "Steam Streaming Microphone". Check to see if it's disabled for some reason. You can also right click it and try to "update drivers" from there.
If its not there at all, I'd suggest trying to reinstall Steam.
Windows 10
Control Panel, Sound, the Playback window will have devices in it, scroll down to Steam Streaming Microphone, click on Properties, use the Level tab to turn it up.
If your Mic is Muffled or Far Away sounding-
If you're using Windows, check the Sound Settings. Control Panel, System, Sound, Input- make sure Steam Streaming Microphone is selected and that the volume is muted or set to something very low.
