Happy 1000th View and 50th Video! A Schindler Miconic 10 traction elevator in DC!

(11/2/2016) Thank you for more than 1000 views! To celebrate, I use destination dispatch for the first time!

These are the Schindler Miconic 10 destination dispatch traction elevators at JW Marriott Washington DC. They're not new as they've been popularly filmed. But it's the closest destination dispatch set in the DC metro area.

Normally in an elevator you press a directional key, walk in the first elevator you see with a direction, and choose your floor. In destination dispatch, two of the steps are switched around. Type in your desired floor. The destination dispatch system tells you which cab you need to wait for and then walk into. Remember it! Once inside the elevator, you ride as normal, the elevator taking you there. Takes some getting used to for the user experience.

Perhaps the best mod anyone could do is throw out the traditional control panel and move into destination dispatch. Some of the best feeling buttons in the world are Miconic 10 controller buttons.
