This old Macintosh Classic was dead, never to boot again. So, Rich decided to see if he could restore Mac Classic and breathe new life into this once proud machine. Join Rich as he tears down and retrofits an icon from an era gone by and attempts to create something special from history. Learn how to do your own DIY Mac Classic restoration.
In this video, we disassemble an old classic Mac, designed and 3D printed an adapter to replace the old CRT with a new 10" LCD, integrated a Mac Mini into the internal frame of the Classic, modified the case to allow access to the newly installed Mac Mini, installed the LCD controller for the LCD display, and closed up the newly refurbished Mac Mini Classic. Lastly, we kicked our nostalgia into high gear with a classic MacOS emulator.
