The announcement was made during the May 12 edition of SmackDown, when Reigns returned to the blue brand for the first time since WrestleMania. Reigns wasted little time voicing his disappointment with The Usos for failing to recapture the gold, and he then charged Special Counsel Paul Heyman with declaring that he would join forces with Sikoa to challenge Owens and Zayn for the titles at Night of Champions.
