Courts will sit through the night to process those arrested amid the UK protests "if that's necessary", the policing minister has told Sky News. Dame Diana Johnson said those who had committed criminal acts "will be held to account". The policing minister, who is an MP for Hull, said it was "deeply sad" to see violence and disorder on the city's streets, saying it was a "very small number of people" who caused the violent disorder in Hull.
