The extraordinary backdrop of The Grand Capucin one of the Alps’ most difficult mountains to climb is what inspired highline world record holder Bernhard Witz to take on the most challenging highline yet, at a staggering 3610 meters high. Along with four other highliners and alpinists, he used the GBH 18V-26 Professional, a tool from Bosch's new 18-volt rotary hammer generation.

With Bosch rotary hammer GBH 18V-26 Professional the highliners had a particularly efficient tool at their disposal that allowed them to make the anchor points in the granite as quickly as possible. With 2.6 joules behind each blow backed up by high-efficiency EC motor technology, the GBH 18V-26 Professional is well equipped to tackle drilling tasks in extreme conditions. The rotary hammer's new geometry also makes it ideal for this application: The handle is aligned with the drilling axis; this L shape, coupled with efficient vibration damping, is an added bonus when it comes to conserving their energy. The further advantages of the tool are: "KickBack Control" function, which prevents the tool from unexpectedly rebounding, and its "Electronic Precision Control" (EPC) function, which limits the rotary hammer's maximum output to 70 percent, allowing the user to work in hammer mode straight away.
