INGREDIENTS :
For The Outer Cover Of Patholi :
2-3 Banana leaves
3 cups parboiled rice
salt to taste

For The Inner Filling Of Patholi  :
1 ½ cup fresh coconut grated
1 cup jaggery
6-7 cardamoms, powdered

METHOD :
Wash and soak rice for 6-7 hours. Now grind soaked rice with salt and water to a smooth thick batter and keep aside.
Mix all the ingredients for the filling and keep aside.
Take the banana leaves, rinse them in water, and Cut them into pieces. Spread the rice flour batter evenly on the leaf. Add the filling spread over the rice paste. Now fold the leaf gently.  Prepare all the dumplings similarly.
Steam the patholis on a medium flame for about 20-25 minutes or till done. The leaf will change the color and patholis/dumplings will be firm when cooked.
Serve hot/cold and Enjoy with Tea/coffee!
