Evan’s been FIRED up to try Shou Sugi Ban (which is basically torching wood to a charred surface) ever since he discovered it’s a thing. Also Known as Yakisugi, the burnt wood becomes carbonized which makes it more waterproof, resistant to insects, and it looks really cool... which is our main reason!
