Iran Unveils New Warship "Deilaman", Boosts Naval Power Amid Tensions With US and Israel Amid tensions with the United States and Israel, Iran had added a new destroyer, capable of launching cruise missiles, to its Caspian Sea fleet. The Iranian state media reported the inauguration of the new warship. The 1,400-ton "Deilaman" destroyer, named for a town in northern Iran, is 95 metres long and 11 metres wide. It is capable of launching torpedoes while travelling at a speed of 56 kilometres per hour.
