North Carolina Zoo Full Tour, Asheboro, NC

Visited the world’s largest natural habitat zoo located at Asheboro, North Carolina as one of our itineraries this spring break. It is so huge with 2,600 wooded acres, and with 500 developed acres, you’ll be so exhausted to walk around the entire area. However, it was so worth it since you’ve got to see these animals in their natural habitat. Housing 1,700 animals of more than 250 species, primarily representing Africa and North America. It is one of two state-supported zoos in the United States, with the other being the Minnesota Zoo. A tram will transport you from one region to another (North America Region to Junction to Africa Region).
