The Nabha police on Saturday challaned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala for traffic violations before letting him go.

Moosewala, who has been booked in various cases in the state, was not arrested, but challaned after his vehicles were found using black film.

Nabha DSP Rajesh Chhibber said, "Nabha SHO Sarabjit Cheema stopped his vehicles for using black films. Later, as the singer verbally claimed that he had procured bail in the cases against him, the SHO let him go.”

As soon as he was intercepted, people gathered around the controversial singer's jet-black Scorpio.

Meanwhile, police have been criticised for letting off the singer, apparently under influence from above.
