If you ever wondered why rosé wine is so popular, what grapes are used, what it tastes like, or how it's made, this video is for you! There are 3 methods to make rosé wine; maceration, saignée, and blending. Most places used maceration, including Provence, France, where rosé wine was invented. This involves letting the grape juice to sit on the skins for a limited period of time. As far as grapes, Grenache is fairly common, but rosé can technically be made from any red grapes, and come from anywhere! Rosé typically tastes like strawberries, grapefruit, watermelon, and has great minerality and acidity. Find out all you need to know about rosé wine in this clip from our Provence episode!
