Hurricane Helene pounded a brick
Hurricane Helene pounded a brick building in the south central Georgia city of Valdosta. Footage shows brick walls collapsed and part of the roof ripped off. The building had an antique store inside.
The brick building is one of 115 heavily damaged in Valdosta. Authorities said multiple people trapped inside some of those buildings.
Hurricane Helene weakened into a tropical storm over Georgia Friday after making landfall overnight in northwestern Florida as a Category 4 storm. At least 11 people have died so far in Georgia, Gov. Brian Kemp said.
