This home brew video shows how easy (and hard) it is to make a beer with rice without using rice hulls.
I forgot to add the recipe to the end of this video so I will add it here for a 21L batch:
Mash
1.5 tsp Calcium Chloride
0.5 tsp Gypsum
3kg (6.61lbs) Pilsner malt
1kg (2.2 lbs) uncooked rice (cooked in 2L of water)
Mash steps
Temperature step 1: 64C (147F) for 45 minutes
Temperature step 2: 71C (160F) for 25 minutes
Check for starch conversion. If not converted continue at 71C until conversion complete.
Mash out: 76C (169F) for 10 minutes
Boil for 60 minutes
Hop additions
Super Pride 8g (0.3oz) @ 60 minutes
Santiam 10g (0.35oz) @ 10 minutes
Santiam 20g (.70oz) @ 5 minutes
Fermentation
Yeast Saflager 34/70
Ferment at 12C for 12 days
Raise to 18C for 2-3 days to clean up diacetyl

Targets:
OG: 1.044
FG: 1.008
ABV: 4.8%
IBUs: 23
Final volume: 21L (5.5 U.S. Gallons)
