Based on a true story, Elizabeth Thomas, a girl with an unstable home life, has trouble fitting in at her new school. On her first day, middle-aged health science teacher Tad Cummins befriends her. Unaware of his intensions, she enters an inappropriate relationship with Tad. Because he believes they belong together, the teacher convinces Elizabeth to run away with him. After the harrowing ordeal, she realizes how the evil man took advantage of her trusting nature and learns to stand up for herself.
