Hello everyone! In this video, we will go to Ecilda Paullier, a small town in the San José Department located in the south of Uruguay. This campus has an interesting feature: They find Victoria's Secret models from the south of Brazil or from the villages here. Well, how? Because the villagers here are of German origin. Modeling agencies also find these girls from the villages here and use them for modeling.

I previously shot a documentary about Mennonites. I have seen traces of this sect before in South America. However, it was here too. In my spare time, I browse Google Maps and look at villages etc. Last time I looked, I saw a place called "Mennonite Delta" here. That's how I decided to come here.

In short, it refers to a religious community called Mennonites. Mennonites are a Christian sect based on the Anabaptist tradition. This community emerged in the 16th century in the Netherlands under the leadership of Menno Simons.

Mennonites are known for embracing a peaceful lifestyle, opposing war, and emphasizing the separation of church and state. Additionally, they are often committed to the principles of solidarity and cooperation between communities. Mennonites generally operate in fields such as agriculture, crafts and trade.

Following World War II, many Europeans and Germans emigrated to South America to avoid the devastating effects of war, to seek economic opportunities, or for political reasons. This wave of migration represents a large flow of people, generally from Europe to Latin America. Here is some information about the European and German groups that migrated to South America during this period:

Argentina: Argentina, especially after World War II, became a haven for German war criminals as well as general German emigrants. The Argentinian government may have brought and hid Nazi war criminals in Argentina after the war. This has been a subject of ongoing debate and research for years.

Brazil: Brazil was also a preferred destination for European and German immigrants. After the war, especially German immigrants settled in Brazil. Some worked in the agricultural sector, while others preferred to live in small settlements.

Chile: Chile attracted European immigrants in the post-war period. Germans were also among these immigrant groups. Chile has hosted many settlements that have adopted German culture and interaction.

Uruguay: After the war, Uruguay also accepted immigrants from Europe. In addition to Germans, Italian, Spanish and other groups of European descent also settled in Uruguay during this period.

These migrations included individuals' efforts to establish a new life and their cultural contributions to the communities in which they settled. However, the issue of the refuge of Nazi war criminals, especially in Argentina, has attracted the attention of researchers of international relations and history for many years.
