YNW Melly Defense Continues to Claim State Botched Murder Charges as Retrial Moves Forward

South Florida rapper YNW Melly appeared in court Friday for a motions hearing. His defense team, the state, and judge discussed multiple outstanding motions that need to be worked out before his retrial for the murders of his best friends: YNW SakChaser and YNW Juvy. Melly’s attorneys continued to argue that the state attorney's office and local sheriff’s detectives botched the double murder investigation. His retrial is scheduled for March 2024.
