NAGSUSUKA SI BABY KO! (VOMITING)

Vomiting is defined as the emptying of stomach contents through the mouth. Such may be caused by a bacterial agent, a virus, by a toxic agent (poisoning) or indigestion. Extra gut cause may be trauma to the brain causing increased pressure. Vomiting can cause dehydration which is the reason why first aid with oresol is recommended. Position the patient with head up seated at high fowlers to prevent aspiration. RED FLAGS: THUS need urgent medical treatment: projectile vomiting, green bilous / red/black/coffee grounds /clotted blood contsining vomitus, dehydration, vomiting from head injury/trauma.  For first aide: clear fluid may be given as well as oresol. Avoid spicy, greasy, caffeinared drinks. Bland food, crackers, plain bread, banana, rice applesauce may be given for feeding age group.
