The Del Rios were actually a male doowop group, a female vocalist named Linda Steele from Providence RI. was added just for this tune, written by Bob Yorey. (additional info was supplied to me my You Tube member "parali3"...see more of his comments in the postings/responses to this video, below).  Originally released on Crackerjack 4005, b/w "I Don't Want To Be Loved". Crackerjack was a subsidiary label of Sue Records.
