The Australian LEGEND That Destroyed Everyone!

Back in time to 1960s Australia and discover the awesome Holden EH S4! This video dives into the story of one of Australia's coolest cars.
Holden started way back in 1856 making saddles, but by the 1960s, they were cranking out some seriously cool rides. The EH series hit the streets in 1963 and changed the game for Holden. These cars weren't just good-looking – they were built tough for Australia's rugged roads.
The star of the show was the EH S4. Holden only made about 120 of these bad boys, mostly to meet racing rules. That makes them super rare and valuable today!
What made the S4 so special? It all starts under the hood with the "Red" engine. This 179 cubic inch six-cylinder powerhouse could pump out 120 horsepower. That might not sound like much today, but back then, it was a big deal!
Holden didn't stop there. They beefed up the gearbox to handle all that power, slapped on better brakes, and even added a bigger fuel tank. Why? Because the EH S4 was built for racing!
In 1963, Holden entered the EH S4 in the famous Bathurst 500 race. This was Holden's first real crack at serious motorsport, and it helped cement their reputation for building fast, tough cars.
The best part? The EH S4 looked just like a regular EH on the outside. It was a true "sleeper" – a car that looks normal but packs a serious punch.
Today, car nuts go crazy for the EH S4. Finding one in good shape is like striking gold, and they can sell for big bucks at auctions.
The EH S4 wasn't just a car – it became a piece of Australian history. It showed that Holden could build cars that were tough enough for the Outback but still fast enough to tear up the racetrack.
