According to Islamic tradition, the Kaaba was constructed by the Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail as a place of worship over 4,000 years ago. The story goes that God commanded Prophet Ibrahim to build the Kaaba as a place of pilgrimage for all believers, and Ibrahim and Ismail worked together to construct the structure using stones from the surrounding mountains. Following the completion of the Kaaba, Hazrat Ibrahim and his family prayed for guidance and blessings for those who entered the sacred place. He also expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to build the Kaaba and for the blessings it bestows upon its visitors.
