Do you want to know whether the Nike shoes you bought are new season?
This video shows how to spot which season were your Nike sneakers produced.
All the information is given in the tag if you can read it properly.
DID YOU KNOW THAT NIKE DATES ALL THEIR SHOES?
In the tounge of the NIKE shoe is a manufacturing date, Month, day and year it was made. If your shoe has 2 dates, the first is the start date of the shoe and the second, its completion. They will guarantee their products for 2 years from the second date. Actually, up-dated info passed on stated that NIKE will guarantee the shoe until the END of the SECOND YEAR. For example, Shoe dated 6/2006 guaranteed to 12/2008 (not 6/2006-6/2008, go to the end of the CALANDER YEAR, so this example 2 1/2 years of guarantee).
Ask the ebay seller for the date in the shoe before you buy if its not listed. If the seller wont give you a date, or says it's not there....DON'T BUY THE SHOES. ALL REAL NIKE ARE DATED. If you buy shelf OLD, "New" shoes you run the risk of the Glues being bad. Seller has shipped you a "NEW", but old product & has shipping proof. The fact that they didn't disclose it's manufactured date is not something they are required to do. You need to ask for this date. Ebay buyer protection does not cover your purchase under these conditions. The seller provides proof of delivery & YOUR JUST OUT $$$$. I had photos of falling apart shoes & it didn't matter... I was just out $$$.
In all fairness, I have a different pair of NIKE that I've worn for over 10 years and no problems with this type of quality glue issue. I'm sure some shoes may wear better than others, but I certainly learned a lesson. If your in the market for NIKE this DATE is truely something you should be aware of. Don't bother trying to mail a bad pair of shoes back to NIKE if they are over 2 years old (or end of the year on the completion date). NIKE policy states that they open returns, if it's older than 2 years they RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY, without any action. Contact the NIKE website directly to find their return policy if you can't work things out with a ebay seller. NIKE is an excellent company that stands buy their products.
Also... beware...
ALL EBAYERS, always wait to LEAVE + FEEDBACK on any purchase. Don't leave feedback just because it came in the mail...wait, you have up to 60 days! Check out your purchase, make sure it fully functions the way it was intended. NEVER LEAVE FEEDBACK for shoes until you've worn them for awhile and are sure that all is OK. Once you leave feedback, the motivation for a seller to address your concerns, refund or exchange decreases, or in some cases, disappears all together.
Lesson LEARNED... I'm OUT $35.... No help from manufacuture... Sellers in the wind...Buyer Protection?...NOT...Seller provided a "NEW" old pair of shoes & had shipping proof. Big hole in the buyer protection policy...
JUST Passing on wisdom from my ORDEAL. Now you know better, as an educated buyer you wont make my mistake. I wish more shoe makers dated their shoes, it's a wonderful idea (actually I have noticed that other companies are starting to do the date markings, just look for it).
NOW you know to ASK for that DATE before you buy and watch for it in ALL shoes you buy.
