Recipe:
(Serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 sheet of read rolled puff pastry
100g sausage meat
3 tbsp cheese chutney
3 mushrooms sliced
6 frankfurter sausage
10 rashers of streaky bacon
100g sliced cheddar
50ml double cream
Method:
- Lay out the puff pastry onto a chopping board.
- Spread over the sausage meat onto the pastry with a palette knife, followed with the cheese chutney.
- Scatter over the mushrooms, then lay on the frankfurters close to one egde of the pastry,
-Then blanket the pastry and sausages with the bacon and cheese.
- Simply role up and then brush the pastry with then double cream. Then slice into 2cm thick slices,
- Finally pack the sausage roles tightly into a butter dish and bake for 30 minutes and 200c
- Then reduce the temperature to 170c for another 20 minutes.
- When cooked remove from the oven and rest for five minutes, then turn out onto a plate.
- Gently warm the marmalade and water in a pan till you have a glaze.
- Then brush all over the top and serve.
