AR vs AK: Practical Accuracy

We pit the AR against the AK in a test of accuracy.  Which is more accurate, the AR or the AK?  What is the difference in their accuracy?  How much accuracy do you need in a fighting rifle?  I try to answer some of these questions and give you some thoughts on the topic.
