Red Flags for #Autism in #ABATherapy: 8 Behaviours to look for in your child

Many parents have moments when they're not sure if their child is developing according to 'schedule'.  There are milestones that most children meet in their development.  Not meeting these milestones can cause for further investigation and assessment.

Here are 8 red flags for autism that you should look out for in your child:
- No words by 18 months and no two-word combinations by 24 months
- No pointing or use of gestures
- Inconsistent responding to name
- Loss of previously mastered language skills
- Inconsistent eye contact
- Lack of joint attention
- Unusual or repetitive behaviours
- Preoccupation or unusual interests

If you notice these or other things that concern you about your child's development, please speak with your paediatrician.
