Rahul Gandhi On Women Reservation Bill: 'No need for census, implement women's quota now'
Rahul Gandhi pushed for caste census, and urged the government to implement 33% reservation for women without waiting for the delimitation exercise. "Delimitation and census not required, the bill should be immediately implemented," Rahul Gandhi stated. In his response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the government holds the reins of the country, countering any notion that secretaries play a predominant role. Amit Shah underlined the significant representation of OBC (Other Backward Classes) members within the BJP, noting the presence of 85 OBC BJP MPs and 29 OBC ministers. Amit Shah emphasized that it was the BJP that had the distinction of having an OBC Prime Minister in the past.
