This cake is so delicious that I bake it almost every week! Cheesecake without a base
The best cheesecake without a base with apple and almonds! It is as airy as a cloud and melts in your mouth. This favorite cake is beautifully moist and also fruity thanks to the apple. Apples go very well with quark. 😋😋 In Austria we actually call a cheesecake Topfenkuchen. The apple cake is incredibly delicious! One of the best cheesecake recipes! Everyone loves this recipe, it is so tender and super delicious 😋 👍
Ingredients: (1 cup = 250 ml)
70 g almonds (sliced) (2/3 cup)
20 g butter (melted) 2 tablespoons
1 pack of vanilla sugar (8 g)
Set aside for now.
4 Separate eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
A pinch of salt
120 g sugar (3/5 cup)
Melt 100 g butter
120 ml milk (1/2 cup)
Grate the peel of a lemon (organic)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Some lemon juice
50 g corn starch (2/5 cup)
700 g Quark (cottage cheese) 2 4/5 cups
A small apple
Add to the almonds.
1 tablespoon corn starch
Some lemon juice
Fold in the beaten egg whites.
Baking pan: at least 24 cm!! (9.5 inches)
Bake the cheesecake at 180 °C (356 °F) top and bottom heat for 50 - 60 minutes. Then let the cake rest in the open oven for 15 minutes.
