Time-Lapse of New Lawn Growing from Seed

This is a time-lapse of my new lawn growing from seed. The video starts 6 days after sowing the seed, just as the first signs of grass are starting to appear. It covers the next 13 days in two and a half minutes (over 9000 photos taken every two minutes), by which time the grass has reached around 4 to 5 inches

Since I uploaded the video quite a few people have commented asking what grass seed I used. The seed is called ‘Superstar Back Lawn’ from The Grass People. I researched a lot before purchasing and found it to give the most hard-wearing, lush and green lawn. You can buy it from Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B.... I purchased the 20kg bag to do around 210 square metres, as I sowed it at 70g per M2 rather than the recommended 50g per M2, which helped to produce a thicker lawn quicker (when used with some growmore fertiliser a few days before sowing the seed). Sowing a bit extra also helped to offset any seed lost to hungry pigeons! 😁
