Built and originally opened in 1978, Grand Sierra Resort has seens several transformations, originally as the MGM Grand from 1978 to 1986, to Bally's from 1986 to 1992, then as the Reno Hilton from 1992 to 2006. The Grand Sierra Resort has over 63,000 square feet of gaming space and 1,990 rooms. Most notable restaurants inside the resort include the Grand Cafe, Rim Asian Bistro, and Charlie Palmer Steak.
The Grand Sierra Resort also has a diverse range of family activities including a bowling alley, several heated swimming pools, family arcade, an escape room, virtual reality, and a golf driving range overlooking a lake.
