NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - US issue LP (Philles 4006) and UK issue 45 (London 9976)  Out of Los Angeles, this 'Wall of Sound' masterpiece recorded at Hollywood's Gold Star studios in the summer of 1964 was shamefully only issued in the United States as an LP track on the legendary and collectible Philles LP, 'Presenting The Fabulous Ronettes - Featuring Veronica' issued in December 1964.  With a possibility of being issued as a single in August 1964 following 'Do I Love You?', one known Philles single test pressing is known to exist, but unfortunately, it never saw a 45 r.p.m. release in the USA.  In 1965, 'You Baby' was curiously issued as the flip side to 'Is This What I Get For Loving You' in Britain.  It's a marvelously percussive, echo drenched, and vocally seductive production that hands down, it's one of producer Phil Spector's finest recordings with the group in their brief but musically and culturally significant career.  Written by Spector, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, 'You Baby' made the rounds with other recording artists as well throughout the 1960's and surprisingly, each version holds it's own as they are are all differently produced and arranged.  The list of other single release versions include: Len Barry on Decca, Jackie Trent on Pye (UK), Linda Scott on Kapp, and the Lovenotes on Cameo.
