follow three steps to make a class routine in MS Word using Excel worksheet.
Step 1: Create Your Data in Excel.
Open Excel and create a new workbook.
Enter your class routine data in the worksheet. For example:
Column A: Day
Column B: Monday
Column C: Tuesday
Column D: Wednesday
Column E: Thursday
Column F: Friday
Example data layout:
Day | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday
9:00-10:00 | Math | English | Science | History | PE
10:00-11:00| English | Math | History | Science | Art
11:00-12:00| Science | History | Math | English | Music
Save the Excel file with a meaningful name, e.g., "ClassRoutine.xlsx".
Step 2: Import Data into Word
Open Microsoft Word and create a new document.
Go to the "Insert" tab on the Ribbon.
Click on "Table", then choose "Excel Spreadsheet". This action will create a table in Word that’s linked to an Excel file.
Browse for your saved Excel file (e.g., "ClassRoutine.xlsx") and select it. This will insert the Excel data into your Word document.
Step 3: Format the Table in Word
Click on the table to activate the Table Tools in the Ribbon.
Use the "Table Design" and "Layout" tabs to customize the appearance of your table (e.g., shading, borders, fonts).
Adjust column widths and row heights as needed to ensure the table fits well within the document.
