Who is Kodikunnil Suresh? INDIA Bloc's nominee for the Lok Sabha Speaker post

Kodikunnil Suresh, a senior congress MP, was nominated as the candidate for the Lok Sabha speaker post by the INDIA bloc after the ruling party and the opposition failed to reach a consensus over the deputy speaker post. The election for the Speaker of the lower house, which is typically chosen through consensus, will be held on June 26th. Kodikunnil Suresh, born on June 4th, 1962, is an eight-time Lok Sabha member representing Mavelikara in Kerala. He has also held positions such as the Congress Parliamentary Party's Chief Whip and Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
