Most people that I teach simply sit on a chair.

Gently move into the cross legged posture.

For beginners start sitting in a chair & gradually become more familiar with sitting on the floor over time.

Meditating on a chair can be very effective and powerful.

The most important factor is what we are doing with our minds. The posture assists.
