Re-configured DVD-RW Red Laser Swap, Flat Package Diode at 200mW+ Power, Portable Burning Tricks

In this video, I've swapped out the diode for a much more powerful model for better burning tricks. Also, I lowered the resistance and changed the position of the electrolytic capacitor on the driver (effectively a by-pass filter cap now), along with a bigger heatsink for improved heat transfer.

This altered setup has much better results and is a useful engraving tool on wood surfaces. The diode was hand extracted from a Lenovo laptop.
