PH NAVY LITTORAL COMBAT FORCE'S BRP VALENTIN DIAZ AND BRP LADISLAO DIWA PATROLLING SOON ON PH WATERS
The Philippine Navy is set to add two significant vessels to its fleet, thanks to generous donations from the United States. These two ships, which will be commissioned later this month, hold special historical significance as they will be named after two founding fathers of the Katipunan. The vessels are the last two of the 14 Cyclone-class patrol coastal ships that the US Navy possessed, and they will be christened as BRP Valentin Diaz with hull number PS-177 and BRP Ladislao Diwa with hull number PS-178 tentatively on August 18, as announced by flag officer in command Vice Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr. during an interview on Tuesday.
