The recipe for this Easter bread is the most delicious, in my opinion. Such Easter cakes will appeal to those who love a light, fibrous, porous crumb with a bright taste of lemon and orange zest.

How to bake Easter bread - every housewife has her own wisdom. In the video, I tried to show every step of preparation as detailed as possible. Sweet dough for Easter cake comes out like fluff. Moderately sweet. But sugar can always be added to your liking. My dream is to bake. It has the best pastries and food in general. I hope, over time, I will be able to show you the recipe for Easter cakes in the oven, as our grandmothers cooked.
God willing, we will make another video with Easter cakes for a much larger amount of flour. And this recipe is suitable for those who bake a little, for a small family.

Dough for Easter bread:

2, 100 kg. premium flour
600 ml. warm milk
400 g. sugar
90 g. wet yeast
200 g heavy cream
100 g. butter
100 g. margarine
6 whole eggs and 6 egg yolks
150 g. raisins
salt - teaspoon
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 lemons
1 orange
1 rum scent (essence - optional)
lard for greasing molds

Bake large Easter cakes for up to an hour and a half at 180 degrees. Small - 40 minutes.

Easter cake are on fire, what to do?

If only the bottom is baking in your oven, put water on the bottom in some container. In other cases - top + bottom - perfect. Readiness is checked with a wooden stick.

Icing on Easter cakes:
(icing on gelatin. Does not crumble)

300 g. powdered sugar
10 g. gelatin
60 ml. water for gelatin
60 ml. water for powder
5-8 drops of lemon juice
