Camera Trap Photography 101 is
Camera Trap Photography 101 is a step by step in setting up our Camera Trap outside. This is our DIY version of a camera trap where we built the flash and the trigger. We use Canon digital DSLR cameras but you should be able to do this with any camera brand that has the appropriate ports. Do not get discouraged if you don't get images right away wildlife trap photography can be frustrating but the reward is amazing. You get to get images that you can't normally get.
If you don't know us we are John and Kendra Abbott, scientists who love everything about bugs and nature, especially photographing them. We have been camera trap photographing for 15 years and love troubleshooting and creating the perfect picture that is close to impossible by sitting in a blind. When setting up a camera trap lighting is everything so keep that in mind when you place your set up.
We know we will not be having any photography workshops in 2020 due to COVID-19 but this is a way we can still interact with all of our buggy photography friends and chat about camera equipment, tips, tricks, and wisdom.
