In this video, we will simulate the no-load test and calculate the excitation branch parameters. The core resistance is calculated by knowing the value of total iron losses, and the magnetizing inductance is calculated by the input power value. Corresponding equations are explained and implemented in the Excel design file. Later we will calculate the value of magnetizing inductance by other methods and compare it with the value that we calculate by the no-load test in this part.
