www.infinitimv.com/inventory.aspx?_vstatus=3&_new=… The 2014 Infiniti QX60 is the rebadged and updated 2013 Infiniti JX35. In this video review we talk about the design, safety, technology, convenience, and performance aspects of Infiniti's mid-line 7-seater SUV. The big news for the 2014 Infiniti QX60 is that it will be offered as a Hybrid! More on that below. The Infiniti QX60's price point is in the low $40s and goes up to the high $50s and fits in between the QX50 (formerly the EX37) and the QX70 (formerly the FX37 and FX50). The QX60 is the only three-row SUV in the Infiniti lineup, except for the incredibly grand QX80 (priced around $60k+). The great thing about the QX60 is that it has enough interior space for kids, strollers, and loads of boxes from Costco while maintaining an elegant and attractive exterior - still suitable for a night on the town. The Infiniti QX60 is loaded with standard safety features and optional driver assistance systems that make getting from A to B reliable and worry-free. There are airbags galore, LATCH tethers for car seats, three-point belts all around, pre-tensioners, advanced braking systems, and available monitoring devices that will even help keep you from drifting out of your lane. Technology-wise the Infiniti QX60 is action-packed; my favorite features, if I could only pick three, are: + Remote Engine Start from the Infiniti Intelligent Key + Infiniti Connection (online integration into Nav and Voice system, especially cool when using your Infiniti Personal Assistant - see our channel for more videos on IPA) + Around View Monitor gives 360-degree backup and parking camera All of these Infiniti QX60 features are reviewed in the video. The one feature I did not have a chance to review is the ability to slide the 2nd row seat forward for 3rd row access with a child's car seat properly installed! The idea of hauling a baby seat out every time you need to get in the back (and reinstalling it) makes my eye twitch a little bit. The QX60 comes with a 3.5 Liter V6 that sports 265-hp; the Hybrid engine (official specs not yet released at the time of this video) will be a first for Infiniti - a supercharged in-line four cylinder that is estimated to produce a net 250 horsepower. The engine is connected to the wheels by a CVT transmission and an option of All-Wheel Drive or Front-Wheel Drive. The 2014 Infiniti QX60 AWD that we used in our review gets 19 and 25 MPG for a combined 21 MPG. The Front-Wheel Drive version gets +1 MPG all around. The Hybrid engine is expected to have a 24% increase in efficiency, bringing the numbers up to 25 city and 32 highway - not bad for a people-mover! The Hybrid achieves a lot of this efficiency by using a lightweight Lithium Ion battery pack (a larger version of what you might find in your MacBook Air) and by recapturing wasted kinetic energy while braking. The driving experience is rumored to be both seamless and impressively responsive, courtesy of the new supercharged engine - which Infiniti is now building for Mercedes-Benz in Tennessee as part of the Infiniti / Nissan / Renault / Daimler alliance. Infiniti of Mission Viejo is located in south Orange County, CA and is proud to be an authorized dealer of the 2014 Infiniti QX60 and QX60 Hybrid. We are happy to serve our clients across the entire United States; we ship cars every place imaginable every day. Thanks for watching!
