266 - Locks of Adventures on the Sheffield and Tinsley canal - Avoiding Disaster

This vlog was filmed on the 3rd January 2020.
We make our way down the Tinsley flight from Sheffield, though Rotherham and onto Kilnhurst with our new friends aboard Narrowboat Ducks Deluxe.
The lock flight was fairly hard work because the was an awful lot of water in the canal meaning it was pouring over the top of the lock gates into the lock chambers and as the locks are all fairly short extra care was needed. We only had one near miss when the bumper on Ducks Dulux got caught on the lock gate, lucking Karen spotted the problem and rushed to push the boat off avoiding disaster.
I hope everyone is doing ok. We are all fine, thank you to everyone who has contacted us to ask. Obviously we are unable to cruise at the moment so we are moored up and isolating like everyone else.

Q• Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos?
A• We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
