Boiled Beans
2 Cups of Pinto Beans
12 Cups of water(You’ll need more)
1/2 Onion
2-4 Garlic Cloves
2 Tbs Bouillon or 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt

Boil 1 1/2 to 2 Hrs

Tip- Check at the 1 hour mark. If your beans have absorbed all the water. Please at more BOILING water to the pot. I usually add 8-12 Cups of water more for the charro beans. If you add more water you’ll need to adjust Salt content. I add about 1 Teaspoon, Bouillon. For salt add 1/4 Teaspoon.


Charro Beans Ingredients
Cooked Beans
6-8 Pieces of chopped Bacon
1 Pack of Chorizo (9oz) Cacique Pork Chorizo
1-2 Chopped fresh Tomatoes
1/2 Chopped Onion
Jalapeño to taste


Topping options- Freshly chopped tomato, Jalapeño, Cilantro, and for those cheese lovers some queso fresco or your choice of cheese. Oh, Yeah!

Optional to add after chorizo and bacon is fully cooked
Ham, Weenies, or Sausage
