Today we are making cut paper collages inspired by Henri Matisse!

You will need:
colored construction paper
one large sheet of white construction paper
scissors
glue stick
We will start by selecting the colors of paper to use... then cut our paper into quarters. Choose 6 quarter pieces, then cut shapes from those pieces and arrange on your paper, thinking about overlapping small shapes over larger ones and using contrasting colors to create interesting compositions. Try different arrangements and when you find something that you like, glue all of your pieces down at one time.
When you are finished, make observations about your project. Think about what you like, and what you would do differently next time around.
