USS Newport News 1968 - 1972

This video is provided by Bill Eisfeld BT-2.  He worked in B Division on Boiler #2 (Oil King).  Bill had this  digitally transferred from color film that he personally took while on the ship and on liberty.  He was also able to get action shots of our great ship from the refueling ship.  The color quality is exceptional.  All former crew members owe him a debt of gratitude for having the forethought to capture these memories on film for many to share.  The scenes within show the USS Newport News refueling, taking on supplies and on the gun line off of Vietnam.  There are also scenes of Liberty Call in various ports.  Please take the time to watch it through to the end.  You won't be disappointed.  BRAVO ZULU to Bill for helping to keep the memories of the USS Newport News alive.
