Indian Ringneck Parrot Parakeet Breeding Description Habit Food Medicine and Video Description: Indian Ringneck Parrot or Rose-Ringed Parakeet is classified as a smaller parrot known as a parakeet. These birds have a long tail, hooked beak, and are smaller in size compared to most parrots. The Rose-Ringed Parakeet is typically about 40.64 cm in length. Males and females both are look very similar. Also distinguishing the male has a black ring around his neck which is highlighted with turquoise, pink, and blue. Although the female may have the impression of not having a ring, many will argue a slight green ring is visible. These elaborate tails can extend as much as 17.78 cm outward for the male and 15.24 cm outward for the female. Rose-Ringed Parakeet is native to Africa and Asia which can be seen in arid environments or the forests. They are great at talking.
