Signs and Symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

Clearview Treatment Programs’ Community Education series is for family members, providers, and those seeking help. This series will serve to help people better understand the mental health disorders that our clients struggle with and how we use evidence-based therapies in our treatment programs. This session provides an overview of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) according to the DSM-5 and describe how the diagnostic criteria has been reorganized by Marsha Linehan, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT has been thoroughly researched and proven to work in treating BPD, emotional dysregulation, and other mental health disorders. This video discusses common signs and symptoms and provides treatment resources in the community.
