I know that there are many people who want to learn the Northern Vietnamese and think that it is the standard Vietnamese. However, Saigon, or Ho Chi Minh is the most populous city in Vietnam and it’s the place where people speak the Southern dialect. So, this is a huge advantage.
The Southern accent is notable for its honest, friendly, and sincere tone and sound, and it’s very easy to listen to and to understand. People from different regions from all over the country can understand the Southern accent no matter what.
