I’ve made a list of 7 things you can try to increase your Wi-Fi speed. I’m gonna show you how to run an internet speed test first, then all the things you can do with your router, Wi-FI settings, and even how to deal with ISP Throttling.

🌐 How to test Wi-Fi speed?
Well, multiple websites can do an internet speed test. I usually use “speedtest.net”, since they have a very nicely detailed wifi speed test tool. The goal is to get over the 100 Mbps mark, ideally around 200-300 Mbps, especially if you have multiple devices. So what can you do to get there?

🌐 Steps you can do to increase Wi-Fi speed
1️⃣ Start by ensuring you have a good Wi-Fi signal. Most devices have little wi-fi connection strength icons and in the best-case scenario, all the bars should be full.
2️⃣ Also check the router antenna position. Instructions for how to position router antennas are in the video.
3️⃣ An old router might be the root of your wi-fi speed problems, so check how old your router is and replace it if needed.
4️⃣ Your ISP might be throttling your connection. What is ISP throttling? It occurs when your ISP intentionally reduces your internet speed. If you’re suspecting that's the reason for your slow wi-fi, the solution is to get a VPN. It will encrypt your traffic and prevent your ISP from seeing what websites you visit.
5️⃣ Another way how to make your internet fast is by switching your Wi-Fi frequency band. I demonstrate exactly how to do that in the video.
6️⃣ If you’re wondering “why is my wi-fi so slow only in specific rooms”, you might be dealing with a dead zone. In this case, you might need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range with additional tools.
7️⃣ The last tip I have for how to get fast internet speed is to not use Wi-fi at all. If you're dealing with high-bandwidth activities, and you can get an Ethernet – USE IT. It’s less convenient, but much faster and more stable.

📍Find your Router’s IP on Windows:
Press Win + R, then type ‘cmd’ and press Enter. Type ‘ipconfig/all’, then press Enter again, and your router’s IP address will show up next to “Default Gateway”.
📍Find your Router’s IP on Mac:
Hold the Option/Alt keys and simultaneously press the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar – it should show your Router’s IP Address.
