Pakistan: Imran Khan's cabinet colleague Shah Mahmood Qureshi re-arrested outside Adiala jail

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Vice Chairman, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, previously granted bail in the cipher case by the Supreme Court, was re-arrested outside Adiala jail. Television footage showed the 67-year-old, protesting the perceived "illegality," forcefully taken by police in Punjab uniform. The PTI claimed he was arrested again after bail, noting the withdrawal of the 15-day detention order issued by Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema. Police have not commented. Qureshi, while being taken away, decried illegal arrest, alleging mockery of the Supreme Court's orders and political targeting. The arrest follows the Supreme Court granting bail to Qureshi and Imran Khan in the cipher case.
