Played by: ThunderPeel2001 This is a perfect longplay for the Amiga game "The Aquatic Games". The aim of the game is to get 8 Gold Medals and 6 Badges of Merit, and that's precisely what I managed to get (with lots of tool assistance. Heh :) There was a previous longplay, but the player missed one Gold Medal and didn't know about the Bonus Events (which allow you to get the 6 Merit Badges). The player wondered if this had affected the ending, but unfortunately I can confirm that the ending is still the same, even with a perfect playthrough. Oh well :( How this was done: I used the Skid Row cracked version with the +6 trainer by Access, along with excellent emulation by WinUAE. The trainer gave me turbo racing speeds and "infinite sweets" in the Feeding Time event. (To anyone who wants to try this themselves: Unfortunately there's a bug in the trainer which means that if you enable the "Auto Qualify" cheat, the game "guru" crashes after completing the 7th event... Slightly annoying for me as it meant I had to start from scratch! Luckily I discovered the cause of the crash.) I also used WinUAE savestates (a godsend!) to save my progress, and the Debugger Console to add my own trainers whenever I could. Here's precisely how it was done (for posterity): 100 Metre Splash This was easy, thanks to the trainer that came on the disk! I'm pretty sure that's the fastest speed possible in the game. Kipper Watching What a pain this event is (and boring, too). I always hated it when I used to play it on my Amiga. I couldn't train this, no matter how hard I tried (I'm obviously pretty crappy at training) so I just used WinUAE savestates. I managed to get to the 3 min mark without any assistance, then I messed up (ironically because I set a savestate) and lost my flow. Finished it eventually, though. Bonus Event The first bonus event appears here. Usually there's also a "Juggling" event, which is (in my opinion) absolutely evil and impossible to complete. No amount of training helped with it, either. Thankfully the "Long Jump" Bonus Event is possibly the easiest thing in the game, and it's totally randomised as to which Bonus Event you get. So I just reloaded the savestate from the previously successfully completed event until I got the "Long Jump". Huzzah. (I'd still really like to see a video of someone who could actually do the Juggling event... it's got to be the hardest mini-game ever!) Hop, Skip and Jump Easy again, thanks to the trainer (although it's pretty easy anyway). The Bouncy Castle I never really understood this event, but basically the game wants you to perform six specific moves six times, in a certain time limit. I used WinUAE's debugger to set every move but the easiest to 6, and then performed that move six times. I think anything under 50 seconds gets you Gold. The time I got is obviously impossible, lol, but the game doesn't complain. Feeding Time This event was made much easier thanks to the trainer giving me infinite sweets... Doubt I could have done it without it! I messed up once, but that was it. Shell Shooting A really weird event, but no so hard when you know what you're doing. No trainers used here. Tour De Grass Easy thanks to the turbo trainer. Leap Frog Same as above. So, yes, with all 8 Golds and 6 Merit Badges you get nothing for all your trouble. Shame :( I can't imagine anyone ever managing to do this without trainers, but there may be some incredibly talented person out there who did! Finally, the audio gets out of sync as the video progresses. Don't know why, but couldn't be bothered to fix it.
